All about Pemangkat

Singkawang is about half hour drive from Pemangkat. Singkawang known by local and most of Indonesian as "Kota Amoi". "Amoi" in Hakka (a Chinese dialect) mean girl so may be it translated as "city of girls". I think the reason behind of this was you can easily find a lot of pretty girls around the city. This is for real, and it is not mean those girls are bad girls, they are come from decent family, it just because more then 60% of the Singkawang population are Chinese descent, so you can easily find a Chinese girl compare to most of Indonesian city. Since there are so many Chinese descent even the name of the city is named in Chinese.

Any way, Ci Kung temple is located a bit out side Downtown Singkawang.
